It was understood that the former of the Municipal Planning & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. is the Municipal Urban Planning and Design Institute. The Institute was established in 1989 as a self-supporting institution. In August last year, it was a municipal wholly state-owned enterprise. Since its establishment, the Municipal Urban Planning and Design Institute has seized the historical opportunity to develop from a single design office with grade C planning qualification to a comprehensive design and research institute with four grade A qualifications. While promoting its own development, the Municipal Urban Planning and Design Institute has actively served the implementation of the strategies of "innovation leading, opening up and rising", "industry leading and all-round development", accomplished various tasks assigned by the municipal Party committee, municipal government and Party group of the Bureau, and made positive contributions to the high-quality development of the city and the development of natural resources and planning of the city.

Municipal Planning & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. will continue to adhere to the principle of "technology based Institute and innovation".
