In order to further promote the application of regional peritoneal dialysis technology, accelerate the establishment of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis technology transformation service mode under the epidemic situation, and promote the peritoneal dialysis "county management, township management, village visit" and standardized patient home management mode, on the morning of March 27, under the guidance of the Provincial Health Commission, the promotion meeting of standardized application and home management of peritoneal dialysis technology in southern Hunan was held. Nephrology experts from 20 county-level hospitals in Hengyang, Chenzhou and Yongzhou gathered together with well-known experts in the province to discuss the advanced management experience of peritoneal dialysis patients, promote the development of peritoneal dialysis technology, and strive to provide the most advanced, scientific and effective medical services for peritoneal dialysis patients.

Peritoneal dialysis is one of the ways of renal dialysis for patients with end-stage renal disease. This home-based dialysis method has obvious advantages in making patients return to society, protecting residual renal function, saving cost, etc., and gradually becomes the preferred scheme for patients with uremia to start dialysis. In the novel coronavirus pneumonia campaign, the impact of the epidemic on renal dialysis patients is reduced to a minimum. At the same time, the majority of rural patients with uremia enjoy the accessibility of serious disease treatment, making medical treatment a temperature and powerful livelihood project.

In order to further standardize the application of peritoneal dialysis technology and standardize the home management of patients in Hunan Province, the Provincial Health Commission has set up three peritoneal dialysis technology training and guidance centers in southern Hunan, western Hunan and central Hunan, which are mainly responsible for the training of peritoneal dialysis related technology in regional secondary and lower general hospitals, guiding them to carry out peritoneal dialysis catheterization and the treatment of related complications, and organizing training on home management standard and health management skills of peritoneal dialysis patients for medical staff in regional county hospitals and township hospitals

The training and guidance center of peritoneal dialysis technology in southern Hunan is located in the peritoneal dialysis center of the Department of Nephrology, Chenzhou First People's hospital. The center has a professional peritoneal dialysis team, has a complete peritoneal dialysis follow-up system, has established a special file for peritoneal dialysis patients, regular telephone follow-up, health education for peritoneal dialysis, special family visits, and implemented the Internet + long-distance management, real-time monitoring, timely warning, and improving the quality of life of patients. A total of 1253 cases of peritoneal dialysis catheterization have been completed and 583 peritoneal dialysis patients have been managed. The center has taken the lead in carrying out multi-disciplinary cooperation in peritoneal dialysis clinic, actively committed to the homogeneous training of peritoneal dialysis and the promotion of peritoneal dialysis work in southern Hunan, accelerated the establishment of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis technology transformation service mode under epidemic situation, and has done fruitful work to provide better service for peritoneal dialysis patients.

At the promotion meeting, state level representatives from all over southern Hunan exchanged and shared their experience in the application of peritoneal dialysis technology and home management. Peng Youming, Ling Wentao, Wang Jianwen, Zhang Lei, Wang Xiaoyan, Jiang Zongpei, Zhang Hao, Liang Yumei, Liu Jishi, Liao Xiangping, Nie Wannian and Xu Gang, the provincial well-known nephrology experts, gave excellent academic lectures on peritoneal dialysis.
