As of June 30, Chenzhou City has provided free lung cancer screening for more than 1,500 people in 2021, ensuring public health benefits.
Lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors that seriously threaten health. Effective prevention and treatment of lung cancer can be achieved through early screening and other means.
To further improve the capability of screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment of lung cancer for less incidence and mortality, the 2021 Hunan Provincial Lung Cancer Screening Program was officially launched. The program plans to complete no less than 30,000 cases of high-risk population assessment and 10,000 cases of lung cancer clinical screening annually in seven cities and prefectures, including Chenzhou, Zhuzhou and Hengyang.
Chenzhou will complete 4,500 cases of high-risk population assessment and 1,500 cases of lung cancer clinical screening in Suxian District this year. Residents who have lived in Suxian District for more than 3 years and are aged 40-74 years old without cancer can enjoy this service for free.
