To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, a musical drama "Ode to Heroes" was staged in Zixing City.

“Ode to Heroes" was created by Zixing local artists in nearly six months. The performance consists of seven chapters, integrating music, dance, recitation, drama and stage design. It recreates the revolutionary history of Zixing under the leadership of the Communist Party of China since 1927, and deeply expresses the tributes to the heroes who made outstanding contributions and the bright vision for the future.

"During the decades of struggle, a great number of outstanding figures arose from Zixing and made important contributions to the liberation of the people. We must remember the glorious history and carry on the revolutionary spirit," said Li Zhounan, one of the scriptwriters of "Ode to Heroes". He hopes to better promote Zixing's local party history through a public-friendly form.

The performance was presented by more than 200 art lovers from Zixing Senior University and all walks of life. They praised the contributions of Zixing's revolutionary martyrs in the revolutionary history of Zixing to further inherit the legacy of revolutionary martyrs and promote the revolutionary spirit.

Since the launch of the Party history learning and education campaign, Zixing City has carried out a wide variety of events for the public. By promoting the main theme of the times, telling red stories, and enhancing the appeal of red culture, the public can jointly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
