A promotion meeting for agricultural products and a golden plum tasting party were held on June 8 in Chukou Town, Zixing City, drawing in numerous people. 

 

 

Chukou Town is located in the hinterland of Dongjiang Lake, in the south of Zixing City. Based on the unique ecological environment, it strives to develop the agricultural industry, forming a distinctive industrial landscape centering on citrus as well as small fruits and tea.

 

“This year, we planted the golden plum for the first time, and I hope that our agricultural products can be sold out on new media platforms,” Li Jinwei said, secretary of the Party Committee of Chukou Town. In recent years, the town has made tremendous efforts to develop fruit and tea industry with golden plums as a highlight.

 

 

It strives to advance rural revitalization through the development of plum planting. Livestreaming groups from Chenzhou City and Chukou Town have been invited to promote local fruits, such as black plums and yellow peaches. The local Party committee and government have carried out livestreaming marketing training sessions of agricultural products for local villagers, and thus they are able to sell their fruits at home, greatly expanding the sales channels. 

 

 

“More and more people can get to know Chukou Town through livestream. With the support of relevant departments, I am pretty confident in the sales as long as we can ensure the quality of our products.” Tang Weiming, head of Dongjiang Mingyou Ecological Agricultural Cooperative, said that the planting of golden plums is a great success and next they will try other fruits.

 

On the site, supply and marketing agreements have been signed between fruit enterprises, supermarkets and local agricultural cooperatives as well as local farms.
