In the autumn of 2021, some remains were found by villagers in Chenzhou. According to the relics on the site, these remains were identified as the Red Army soldiers who had taken up the task of covering the evacuation of the main troops. In memory of the revolutionary martyrs, the Southern Hunan Uprising Memorial decided to bring the martyrs' remains home for burial.

The film is directed by Han Jun, a famous film director who produced Romance out of the Blue starring Guan Xiaotong and Xia Yu, and written by Lv Limin.
