The town has built industrial bases in Shuiwan, Liuyuan and other villages, planting 1,000 mu (about 66.6 hectares) of lotus. The bases provide jobs for 80 villagers, and its output value is expected to exceed 10 million yuan this year. The villagers can earn more than 3 million yuan from land transfer, wages and dividends.
