Fish fry freed to Dongjiang Lake

On August 25, the authorities in Zixing City, Hunan province released about 6.2 million fish fry of three breeds including bighead carp, silver carp and grass carp to Dongjiang Lake during three days. A total fund of 1.5 million yuan was issued for this activity.
Zixing City has taken effective measures to promote the fishery resources of Dongjiang Lake from 1987 and increased the number of fish fry year by year.
After the quarantine inspection, fish fry up to standard are released scientifically, contributing to local aquatic biological lives, aquatic biodiversity, the restoration of the lake ecology, water quality and water ecological environment.
