A tourist said that she came here with friends because of the beautiful photos others posted on the Wechat Moments. She was surprised to see a sea of yellow flowers dotted with purple and red flowers, which is very romantic.

 

 

The villagers of Nongkesuo Village were surprised too. The village used to be a backward hamlet with muddy roads. Thanks to the construction of beautiful countryside, apart from the increasing availability of water, electricity, road and internet, such supporting facilities as garbage sorting and tourist toilets have also been built, bringing earth-shaking changes to the living environment.

 

In order to improve residents’ sense of happiness, the village planted landscape trees like cherry tree, metasequoia and maple, grew flowers like cattail, verbena, galsang flower, sunflower and the like, making the village full of flowers in four seasons.

 

 

Villagers leased their land to enterprises to plant trees and flowers and build rural tourism bases. Some villagers have been transformed from farmers to enterprise workers, planting trees, pruning and weeding in the base all year round. There are also villagers who have opened farmhouses and small supermarkets in their courtyards, and grown strawberries and sweet corn in their idle land. "I earn about 30,000 yuan a year just by working at the base," a villager said happily.

 

 

Guiyang County has made efforts in comprehensive restoration of natural ecology, improvement of rural environment under the principle of green development, and vigorously developed floriculture and nursery, ecological leisure and other industries to promote the integration of agriculture and tourism.
