On September 29, 8 senior reporters from 6 Chinese and foreign media like China-Arab TV, Korean Labor News Agency, Korean Central News Agency and China Today came to Rucheng County, Chenzhou City for interview. To have a deep understanding about red tourism and rural revitalization, they visited Shazhou Village, the birthplace of “Half Quilt” and Dongshan Village, a demonstration site of rural revitalization.
“Foreign Media Hunan Tour,” which is jointly organized by Information Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government, Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government and China Daily Hunan Bureau, aims to fully demonstrate the new achievements and initiatives of Hunan’s Three Hubs and Four New Missions Strategy, China-Africa cooperation, Hunan’s leading manufacturing enterprises, red culture and rural revitalization from an international perspective.
During the event, reporters visited “Half Quilt” Exhibition Hall and the former residence of Xu Jiexiu in Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, and conducted thematic interviews on red tourism. They also interviewed local villagers and officials in Dongshan Village on rural revitalization.
Moved by the story “Half Quilt,” Ouyang Lili (Leen Zeyad Aslan Aslan) plans to translate it into Arabic, aiming to promote the fresh-and-blood relationship between Chinese people and the CPC. Moreover, she will also give a report on Shazhou’s poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
Huang Hao (Zachary Gordon Lundquist), a reporter from China Today bought local specialties from an old man over 80 years. Out of Huang’s expectation, the old man receives payments via Wechat, which is the living proof that the villagers, though in mountainous area, live a modern and comfortable life. “I will make relevant reports and share everything I have seen to reflect a real Chinese village,” Huang said.
Housa Mu (HOSAM FAROUK AHMED MOHAMED ELMAGHRABI), a reporter from China Internet News Center, said that the village boasts picturesque scenery and most of villagers here live in big houses. He will also report the remarkable changes in China’s countryside with words, pictures and videos.
