Termite mushrooms have thick meat and taste fresh and sweet. It contains essential elements like amino acids, proteins, fats, vitamins and calcium, known as "the crown of mushroom".

 

At the beginning of this year, some economic elites who worked outside the village, like Fu Jianwen and Fu Kaiwu, decided to introduce termite mushroom industry after study in Jianghua and Lanshan in Yongzhou and Guangdong Huanan Market. And the site is located in Zaoziyuan.

 

They obtained cooperative qualifications and raised over 3 million yuan to start the construction on 2 hectares of the idle land in May.

 

They planned to build 16 greenhouses, each covering an area of 300 square meters, a cold storage of 120 square meters and an office building of 120 square meters. 

 

The termite mushroom can be planted and harvested twice a year. A greenhouse can yield about 200 kg mushrooms every day in the harvest season. The picking season lasts for four months and the output of a greenhouse can reach 20,000 kg a year, with sales of more than 400,000 yuan.

 

At present, the base has built 4 greenhouses, and the annual sales can reach nearly 2 million yuan.
