The exposition was held both online and offline with the joint efforts of China Mining Association, Chenzhou Development Investment Group Co., Ltd., Chenzhou Culture and Tourism Industry Co., Ltd., Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., and Zhengwei International Group.

 

Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is the main exhibition hall, with an exhibition area of about 30,000 square meters and a total of about 1,000 international standard booths, which are divided into four exhibition areas including mineral crystal area, color gem area, fossil meteorite area and handicraft area. It aims to display Chenzhou's local characteristic minerals such as crystal fluorite, calcite, seven color stone, Huanglong jade and ink stone, flower sphalerite, crystal, Linwu Tongtian jade as well as natural copper, meteorite, emerald and other mineral products from other regions.

 

 

There are two highlights in the exhibition. One is a 39.8-meter-long and 15-meter-high dinosaur fossil. It is estimated that this giant dinosaur lived in the late Jurassic period (140 million years ago) and died out in the Cretaceous period. The second is a rare large natural copper with a 1-billion-year history. The online exhibition relies on the platform "Kuang Bo Yun", with 30 VR panoramic booths and 500 standard booths.

 

During the exhibition, the opening ceremony and many theme activities were held. On Chenzhou industrial projects investment promotion and cultural and tourism promotion conference, 20 major projects concerning jewelry processing, cultural and tourism health care, electronic information, energy conservation and environmental protection, intelligent home and other fields were signed, with a total investment amount of 8.559 billion yuan.

 

The 10th China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Expo will be held in Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 20 to 24, 2022. The organizing committee will continue its efforts to make it into a platform to showcase the world’s mineral crystals and Chenzhou’s native minerals, and to increase the expo’s visibility at home and abroad.
