Cao Shiwei graduated from Zixing Special Education School in July 2021. In 2017, he was selected  for intensive training in Changsha. In 2019, he went for professional  training in Changde city.

 

In 2018, Cao Shiwei won four gold medals at the provincial games, and got one gold medal and two silver medals at the 10th National Games for Persons with Disabilities in 2019.

 

 

Cao Shiwei was once a student of the potential development team for Special Olympics in Zixing Special Education School, where he received professional training in physical fitness and motor skills, which laid a solid foundation for him to become a professional swimmer later.
