In recent years, the Employment Service Center of Jiahe County has actively promoted employment in rural areas, especially for relocated impoverished families through such support measures as employment guidance, job introduction and public welfare jobs.
Up to now, Jiahe County has employed 151 people in sanitation, landscaping, public security patrol and property management in resettlement areas where eight poverty alleviation workshops were set up, providing jobs for 106 relocated people.
Since the operation of “doing practical work for the masses” this year, Jiahe County has implemented employment policies in terms of subsidies for social insurance, public service jobs and vocational training, and secured loans for start-ups.
It has also helped connect between qualified enterprises and labors, and introduced employment policy at doorsteps for key groups.
Xiao Kailin, a post-95s graduate from the Music Performance Department of Qinghai Normal University, invested more than 330,000 yuan to set up Yixin Culture and Art Training School in Jiahe County in July 2018 with her dream and family support.
At the beginning, the school failed to recruit students for lack of qualified teachers, and its operation was in a state of loss. The Employment Service Center timely granted a 150,000-yuan support loan for Xiao Kailin and recommended her to attend its SYB training class, helping her out of the woods.
After unremitting efforts, the school now has more than 400 students and 27 faculty members, 6 of whom were people with difficulties in finding jobs. In 2021, Xiao Kailin was awarded the honorary title of "Entrepreneurial Star" of Chenzhou City.
Relying on traditional advantageous industries, Jiahe County has been actively developing labor service brands in the foundry industry via government guidance, association coordination, policy support, intensive training, follow-up service and other measures, promoting high-quality development of foundry industry by high-quality workers.
At present, there are 100,000 people engaging in the foundry industry with 46,000 skilled workers in the whole process chain. Jiahe County has become the cradle and export center of casting talents in the southern area of the Yangtze River, as its talents spread all over Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Jiangxi.
