Banliang Village, located in Gaotingsi Town, Yongxing County, Chenzhou City, has jurisdiction over an area of 5 square kilometers with a population of 2,380 people.
It has been developing the rural tourism industry by vigorously improving infrastructure and public services based on rich natural resources and profound cultural background.
Banliang Village has a long history. It was first built in the early Song and Yuan Dynasties. Until now, there are more than 360 well-preserved historical buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village. Led by the party building, the Party committee of the village set up a village governance organization to coordinate rural revitalization and rural governance.
The village raised funds from various parties and invested more than 40 million yuan in succession to carry out construction in infrastructure like roads, water and electricity, renovate residential houses, and guide villagers to improve the living environment.
It established a tourism company to explore its culture and develop rural tourism, strengthening the collective economy of the village.
Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. The beautiful environment and ancient cultural style have brought huge economic benefits, as the influx of visitors boosts consumption in agritainment, farmhouse hotel, outdoor barbecue, retail stores and agricultural products.
