Duishang Village of Suxian District, Chenzhou City was listed in the 11th batch of national demonstration villages of “One Village, One Product”, and Beixi Village of Linwu County, Chenzhou City was rated as 2021 national 100-million yuan village with characteristic industry, according to the announcement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on November 10, where Hunan Province has 28 places on the two lists.

 

Duishang Village’s edible mushroom planting base is the largest standardized pleurotus geesteranus and pleurotus cornucopiae production base in Chenzhou city,  where tens of tons of edible mushrooms are produced every day. Its pleurotus geesteranus is in short supply with a higher price than other similar products.

 

 

“One Village, One Product” refers to a village making full use of local resources to develop a leading product or industry with huge market potential, local characteristics and high added value through vigorously pushing forward scale production, standardization, branding and marketization. 

 

The development of “One Village, One Product” is an important approach to promote agglomeration, standardization, scale production and branding of rural industries, and an important measure to increase the added value of agricultural products and sources of income for farmers.
