The Penggong Temple Joint Conference established the strategic decision of the South Hunan Uprising troops joining forces with Mao Zedong in the Jinggang Mountains, which laid the foundation for the expansion of the Jinggang Mountains Revolutionary Base, and played an essential part in the Xiangnan Uprising. 

 

 

 

In recent years, through renovating the Penggong Temple Joint Conference Site and the Octagonal Pavilion, the local government has actively carried out the party history education and vigorously developed red cultural tourism, which further increased villagers’ income and promoted rural revitalization.
