The village has built 8 public toilets and renovated toilets for 285 households, with sanitary toilets covering 95% of households. Two million yuan was invested to build a sewage treatment station where domestic sewage from 147 households can reach the standard of harmless discharge after centralized treatment. And green vegetables, high-quality grapes, crayfish and other two characteristic agricultural products also see harvest.

 

As Suxian District was listed as the provincial demonstration district for rural revitalization, it has promoted experience and modes in the district. 19 demonstration villages for rural revitalization have been set up to compete with each other, in which the principal role of villages and farmers can be given into full play in the effort of rural revitalization.

 

Through demonstration, Suxian District has comprehensively improved rural living environment this year. All administrative villages have implemented garbage sorting and hired full-time cleaners. The rural sewage treatment rate and the rural sanitation rate reached 80% and 91.5% respectively.

 

Meanwhile, Suxian District has vigorously developed characteristic agriculture. According to the “Three-year Action Plan to promote the establishment of Rural Revitalization Demonstration District”, the district has focused on improving quality and efficiency of advantageous industries, such as vegetables, fruit, oil tea, and swine, and helping agricultural product brands to grow. 

 

At present, 25 “vegetable basket” production bases have been built for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. There are 9 licensed agricultural leading enterprises, 7 provincial vegetable brands, and a number of villages engaging in fruit planting, fish noodles production, rural leisure tourism, etc.

 

In the first three quarters of this year, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Suxian District reached 19,527 yuan, up 11.7% year-on-year, ranking first in Chenzhou.
