Xiache Village is located in the southwest of Jiahe County. In recent years, the village has actively explored “Party building plus” mode and vigorously developed agriculture, thus forming an industrial revitalization path suitable for the development of the village. 

 

The village introduced Hunan Huasheng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. to build Xiangjiangyuan Vegetable Base supporting the Greater Bay Area. The base covers a planned area of 80 hectares with a total investment of 100 million yuan. It mainly grows selenium-rich vegetables such as pepper, eggplant and Chinese flowering cabbage. Through cooperation with the vegetable basket project in the Greater Bay Area and relying on the advantages of natural selenium-rich land resources, Jiahe County vigorously develops selenium-rich vegetables with “one county, one characteristic vegetable”.  

 

Given the local natural selenium-rich land resources, the company transferred land by a development mode involving local Party branch, companies and farmers. It invested more than 10 million yuan to build standard greenhouses and sprinkler irrigation facilities, planted 80 hectares of order vegetables. The village surrounded by patches of green vegetables forms beautiful idyllic scenery. The land transfer generates nearly 350,000 yuan of rents to villagers every year, more than 80,000 yuan of income to village collective, and more than 1 million yuan of income to villagers as long-term and temporary workers.  

 

Meanwhile, Xiache Village also strengthened the industrial development through project construction, got more than 12-million-yuan project funds for shantytown transformation, rural sewage treatment and vegetable industrial development. 

 

The village has won many titles after its efforts, such as Hunan Health Village, Hunan Rural Living Environment Improvement Demonstration Village and Chenzhou’s Beautiful Village.
