Six tombs from Han and Tang Dynasties were newly discovered in Dutou Ancient City Ruins of Linwu County, Chenzhou City, and a number of typical implements of the time were unearthed, which provide new archaeological data for understanding of the relationship between the tombs complex around the site and the ancient city, according to latest news from Hunan Archaeology on December 6.
Hunan Archaeological Research Institute organized an archaeological team to carry out the excavation this year, after receiving approval from the National Cultural Heritage Administration.
