Chenzhou Customs helps export of agricultural products

Recently, the first batch of 22,000 kg navel oranges produced by Chenzhou Zhanxiang Green Agriculture Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered to Hong Kong, with the support from Chenzhou Customs. 
 
“Our output was affected by the severe frost at the beginning of this year and COVID-19 epidemic. But thanks to the supportive measures from the Chenzhou Customs, 3 fruit bases of our company have passed the registration review smoothly. This year, the sales of navel oranges to Hong Kong and Macao will exceed 1 million kg,” said Chen Hui, an executive of Zhanxiang company.
 
In recent years, Chenzhou Customs has made every effort to boost export of local green agricultural products based on local conditions, contributed to the rise of leading export enterprises and green products. And Zhanxiang is one of them.
 
Since 2020, Chenzhou Customs has guided the company to establish and improve its quality management system, helped it quickly obtain the registration qualification. Moreover, the customs has studied laws and regulations on plant products of export destinations, strengthened pest control and traceability management and effectively avoided technical barriers to trade.
 
With the help of Chenzhou Customs, Zhanxiang has sold 880,000 kg of navel oranges to Hong Kong and Macau.
 
“Before the harvest season of navel oranges, Chenzhou Customs came to know more about our recent export plan and problems through on-site checking and daily supervision and coordinated with relevant departments to solve them,” Chen Hui said.
 
So far, Chenzhou Customs has helped 12 orchards and one fruit processing factory to pass the registration at the customs, promoted the development of characteristic agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables, tea, swine and aquatic products.
 
At the same time, the customs has guided enterprises to pay close attention to pesticide residues and quarantine requirements of importing countries and regions to ensure the quality and safety of exported fruits.
