As a characteristic production area of citrus medicine in Hunan, Anren County has regarded traditional Chinese medicine as one of the important industries for rural revitalization. It has cultivated a complete industrial chain from planting and R&D to processing and sales.

 

A total of 15,333 hectares of Chinese medicinal materials have been planted in the county, including 8,000 hectares of citrus medicine (“zhi qiao” in Chinese which refers to dried unripe citrus fruits). 

 

The citrus medicine has now become a leading local industry which helps increase people’s income.
