The launch ceremony of “He Cheng” Orange, as well as the production and sales matchmaking event in Central China, was held in the Hongxing Global Agricultural Products Wholesale Center of Changsha on the afternoon of December 24. Contracts involving 500,000 kilograms of oranges with the value of 10 million yuan were signed.
Yizhang County in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province is a core citrus production area along the Southern Jiangxi-Southern Hunan-Northern Guangxi citrus industrial belt, and navel oranges produced here are plump, succulent, tasty and fragrant. One of the varieties named “He Cheng” has been selling well in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area for five years in a row due to their ecological farming ways and superior taste.
Deng Ziniu, president of the Hunan Citrus Association, said that the launch of the "He Cheng" brand would greatly promote navel oranges in Hunan Province.
Based on the platform of the Hongxing Global Agricultural Products Wholesale Center, these local characteristic products as well as their brands could be introduced to Central China and expanded to the inland market of China.
Tang Zhijun, general director of the Hongxing Market, said that the center has actively built itself into a hub of agricultural products in central China, seeking to introduce superior fruits from other places and promote Hunan’s superior fruits to other places.
With the joint efforts made by the government, associations, distributors, the center has continuously expanded the sales channels of high-quality agricultural products in Hunan, increased its trading volume and influence in central China and even across China, and promoted high-quality development of local agricultural industry.
