Recently, Banliang Village was selected as one of the 50 provincial demonstration villages for rural governance, becoming one of the five demonstration villages in Chenzhou City on the list.
Based on its distinctive regional characteristics and integrating advantages of its regional resources, Banliang Village has established special organizations for village governance to push forward the development of rural revitalization and promote rural governance with coordinated efforts.
In 2021, the tourism revenue in Banliang reached 1.056 million yuan, an increase of 30% year on year. Villagers had an average annual net income of 20,256 yuan, a year-on-year growth of 8.5%.
The village has won more than ten titles including “China’s Historical and Cultural Village”, a key cultural heritage site under the state protection, and Characteristic and Fine Village of Hunan Province.
