In 2021, Suxian District gave priority to sci-tech innovation and talent tapping in strengthening policy guidance, improving innovation carriers, and broadening application channels.

 

Through the efforts, the region’s sci-tech innovation capacity has been significantly enhanced, and the support for sci-tech innovation has been emphasized. 

 

The region has strictly implemented various preferential policies for sci-tech enterprises, reduced innovation and start-up costs for more than 40 enterprises by more than 45 million yuan, helped 39 enterprises apply for R&D grants, and won provincial R&D awards of 13.59 million yuan, ranking first in Chenzhou City. 

 

In addition, Suxian District will also promote sci-tech financing in sci-tech enterprises and provide personalized financing services for enterprises through holding bank-enterprise matchmaking meetings, enterprise project roadshows, and offline matchmaking services, to help seven enterprises obtain more than 66 million yuan in finance loans.

 

Zhong Zhilin, deputy general manager of Chenzhou Haolun Biochemical Additives Co., Ltd., said happily, “with the help of the district government, the company has pledged several invention patents and obtained a loan of 10 million yuan. The evaluation fee for pledge financing has also been subsidized by the province and the city, which is of great help for us.” 

 

The attentive service has aroused the enthusiasm of sci-tech enterprises to increase R&D investment, enhanced the driving force of sci-tech innovation, and help high-tech enterprises in the region make repeated innovation achievements. 

 

At present, the region has set up 10 provincial engineering and technology centers, 1 provincial creative space, 57 municipal R&D centers, and 103 filed sci-tech small and medium-sized enterprises, ranking in the forefront of the province. 

 

In 2021, Suxian District achieved 637 granted patents, 3,713 registered valid trademarks, and 16.2 invention patents owned by 10,000 people. All data related to intellectual property patents rank among the top in the province. 

 

The district has been awarded the title of the “Advanced Unit for Intellectual Property Work in Hunan Province” for four consecutive years.
