The exhibition hall of Deng Hua’s life and achievements opened in Beifu Village, Beihu District, Chenzhou City of Central China’s Hunan Province. Deng Hua was the second commander of Chinese People’s Volunteers. It’s another patriotism red education base and a national defense education base in Hunan province.
Beifu Village is a traditional ancient village in southern Hunan with a history of more than 600 years. Deng Hua was born here on April 28, 1910. Here he set off into Jinggang Mountains to participate in multiple battles, like western Hunan Uprising, Hundred-Regiment Campaign and Beijing-Tianjin Campaign. He organized the Battle of Hainan Island, helped organize five campaigns to resist US Aggression and aid Korea, and served as the second commander and political commissar of Chinese People’s Volunteers.
The exhibition hall covers an area of 200 square meters and a construction area of 400 square meters. The construction of the exhibition hall was started in July 2021 and completed on January 19 this year.
The exhibition hall is divided into six parts. With text descriptions, pictures and multimedia, silica gel figures and relief oil paintings, it vividly reproduces the magnificent scenes of liberation of Hainan and the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea, systematically interprets the mystery of military victory, and shows the splendid military culture of the PLA.
In the future, centering on Beifu Village, Beihu District will connect Xiaobu, Yangtian Lake, Xihe River and other well-known scenic spots to integrate into the boutique red tourist routes, and build a demonstration belt for integrated development of red cultural tourism industry and an influential national defense education base.
