During the 7-day Spring Festival holiday, Chenzhou city has seen sufficient supplies of consumer goods on the markets. Among the 48 key monitored enterprises, 34 commodity retail enterprises achieved retail sales of more than 136 million yuan, an increase of 10.54%. The turnover of 14 catering enterprises reached more than 3 million yuan, up 17.17%.
The supplies of daily necessities including grain, edible oil, meat and vegetables were sufficient, with a steady price.
Among the 134 kinds of edible agricultural products under monitoring, 74 kinds of commodity prices rose, 32 decreased, and 28 kept basically stable.
Among them, the retail prices of meat, eggs, dairy products, salt, sugar, aquatic products, vegetables and fruits increased slightly before the holiday. The retail prices of grain, edible oil and poultry decreased slightly before the holiday.
With strict epidemic prevention and control measures, local enterprises seized this opportunity of the consumption peak season and launched colorful promotional activities to attract customers.
During the holiday, the city’s popular catering enterprises still saw a boom, providing distinctive reunion dinners for residents. Monitoring data showed that a total of 6 municipally-monitored hotels realized an income of 1.3718 million yuan from consumption during the holiday.
