Hunan sees rapid growth in industrial apps

By the end of 2021, Hunan province had cultivated 22,047 industrial apps (including industrial software), according to Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information. The softwareization rate of industrial technology among key business links of industrial app innovative application enterprises reached 50.3%, giving strong support to creating an important hub of advanced manufacturing industry in China.
The cultivation of industrial APP in the province intends to focus on key areas, make efforts from both supply and demand sides, and stimulate the enthusiasm of advanced manufacturing industries like construction machinery, rail transit and aerospace in developing industrial apps.
In 2021, 68.5% of the enterprises in the province realized digital operation and management, and the popularity rate of digital research and design tools reached 78.3%.
Industrial app enterprises are encouraged to take a specialized, refined, characteristic and innovative development path, and manufacturing enterprises are pushed to spin off into professional industrial app enterprises.
Last year, the industrial software income of the province’s software and information technology industry was 2.33 billion yuan and the embedded system software income was 15.9 billion yuan, up 4.3% and 20.5% respectively.
12 new outstanding small enterprises that specialize in cloud operation systems, database and R&D and design were added. 13 projects won awards in the 2021 National Industrial APP and Information Consumption Competition, and solutions of 4 enterprises were selected as the 2021 Excellent Industrial App Solutions by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Developing industrial app helps enhance independent innovation capacity. By joining hands with software enterprises and industrial technology enterprises, Hunan Industrial Technology Software Innovation Center released 34 independent innovation scientific and technological achievements, including 13 up to international advanced level.
Hunan Excelsior Transmission made breakthroughs in 16 core technologies and developed the first comprehensive gear transmission system design and analysis software with independent intellectual property in China.
