Workers are busy picking mushrooms in an edible fungus cultivation base in Shigaitang Subdistrict, Beihu District, Chenzhou City. As the first harvest of the year, it will last until May.

“We can reap six tons of mushrooms a day, which will be sold around the country. The sales are 20 percent higher than the same period last year," said Tian Donghui, head of the base.
As a vegetable supplier to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, the base provided more than 6,000 tons of mushrooms last year. In addition, it also created jobs for more than 40 villagers nearby.
