Chenzhou City, Zixing City and Jiahe County are rated as national health cities and towns in 2021. Here is the introduction of the three places.

Chenzhou enjoys unique geographical advantages. It is located in southeast Hunan Province, where the Nanling Mountains and the Luoxiao Mountains interlock and the Yangtze River system and the Pearl River system diverge. It's been the must-pass place leading to the coastal South China from Central China since the ancient times.

It is not only an important place with military strategic significance, but also a place of outstanding talents. It adjoins Ganzhou City of Jiangxi Province to the east; Shaoguan City of Guangdong Province to the south, Yongzhou City of Hunan Province to the west; and Hengyang City as well as Zhuzhou City of Hunan Province to the north. It is known as Hunan's South Gate.

At the end of 2021, the total population of Chenzhou reached 4.6 million. Presently it governs two districts (Beihu and Suxian), one city (Zixing), and eight counties (Guiyang, Yongxing, Yizhang, Jiahe, Linwu, Rucheng, Anren and Guidong) with a total area of 19,400 square kilometers, accounting for 9.2% of the total area of the province.

Chenzhou is a national tourist city, and a forest city. The area of mountains and hills accounts for 75% of the total area. It is a national demonstration area for undertaking industrial transfer in southern Hunan and the "South Gate" for Hunan to connect Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Chenzhou boasts a long history. It is the gathering place of Cangwuyue, a tribe of the Yan Emperor in ancient times. It is the capital of Chuyi emperor in the late Qin and early Han Dynasties. Its water system flows into the Pearl River, Ganjiang River and Xiangjiang River respectively. Merchants from Chenzhou City were known to be diligent and honest in the past.

Zixing City is located in the east of Chenzhou City, the upper reaches of Leishui River and the southern end of Luoxiao Mountains. It is located at 25 ° 34 ′ - 26 ° 18 ′ N and 113 ° 08 ′ - 113 ° 44 ′ E. It is adjacent to Guidong County and Yanling County of Zhuzhou City to the east, Rucheng County and Yizhang County to the south, Suxian District to the West and Yongxing County and Anren County to the north, with a total area of 2,746.79 square kilometers, featuring the humid subtropical climate.

Zixing is a treasure land which is abundant in such natural resources as water, electricity, coal, forest and rice.

The city has 3 million mu (0.2 million hectares) of mountains, 300,000 mu (20,000 hectares) of water areas and 300,000 mu (20,000 hectares) of farmland, with a forest coverage rate of 74.59% and a forest stock of 12.2451 million cubic meters. The Dongjiang Lake has a water storage capacity of 8.12 billion cubic meters. The installed capacity of hydro thermal power is 1.1 million KW and the coal reserve is more than 300 million tons.

Jiahe County is located in the south of Hunan Province and the southwest of Chenzhou City. It borders Guiyang County and Linwu County of the city from northeast to east to southeast, and Lanshan County, Ningyuan County and Xintian County of Yongzhou City from southwest to west. The county has a mild climate, sufficient sunshine, and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 18.2˚C. The average annual sunshine time is 1,338.8 hours. The average annual frost-free period is about 300 days. The average annual precipitation is 1,417.8mm.

Jiahe County is a major coal and tobacco producer in China, which was rated as "advanced county in county economic development in Hunan province in 2011". It is a demonstration county for urban-rural integration in Hunan, and listed as a pilot county for the integration of urban and rural public transport, employment and social assistance and a demonstration county for the integration of water supply.
