Mr. Pan, an old man whose left hand was disabled by accident, lives in halfway up the mountain with his ailing wife, and this household is registered as living under the poverty line. Worse still, there is a mountain road of more than 100 meters on their way home, which is potholed and particularly muddy on rainy days.

 

 

This road-building activity has greatly improved the production and living environment, which not only reflects that the local Communist Party committee and government have done practical work for people, but also shows the power of women, winning high praise from the local villagers.

 

 

To promote the volunteering spirit and show the elegant demeanor of women in the new era, more and more cadres of the village women’s federation and volunteers are encouraged to join in the group, with over 50 members now. The women’s volunteer group will hold some activities from time to time to help the elderly, women and children and take care of the empty nesters and left-behind children in the village. In 2020, the local social affairs service center was awarded the title of “Female Civilized Post” in Zixing City.
