Chenzhou bids for provincial tourism conference

The organizing committee meeting of Hunan Tourism Development Conference was held in Changsha on the morning of March 7, in which Chenzhou, one of the two bidding cities of the conference, released a promotional video, and its party secretary Wu Jupei pledged in the presentation that the city would do its best to host the conference with highest standards, largest investment, fastest speed and the most beautiful display.
Chenzhou is rich in red tourism resources with 161 major red tourist spots. It is the place where Xiangnan Uprising took place, the hometown of revolutionary pioneers and nine founding generals of the People’s Republic of China.
Chenzhou has abundant green resources. Except for desert, Chenzhou has a complete range of tourism resources. There are more than 110 scenic spots and 51 national A-level scenic areas, including Mangshan Mountain, Dongjiang Lake, Reshui Hot Spring and so on.
Chenzhou boasts a profound cultural background. The land has gone through many historical events which were written into poems by scholars, such as Zhou Dunyi and Qin Guan. Kunqu Opera, the ancestor of the Chinese operas, also originated here.
Chenzhou also shows the beautiful human nature. As a national civilized city, Chenzhou is a city of volunteerism and honesty. A number of national moral models, volunteers, Olympic champions, and role models moving China have emerged in the city.
Chenzhou will launch 216 cultural tourism projects with a total investment of 86.3 billion yuan. A package of supportive policies will be released to promote cultural tourism, which will integrate a fund of six billion yuan from various sources and stimulate over 60 billion yuan of nongovernmental investment, according to Wu Jupei.
