Anoectochilus roxburghii is a species under second-class state protection in China. Its leaves have prominent golden vein reticulation. Chinese people have always regarded it as a rare herb which can be used to treat waist and knee pain, nephritis, bronchitis and other inflammation, diabetes, hematemesis, hematuria and infantile syncope due to fright. It also helps to prevent and cure hyperlipidemia, hypertension and hyperglycemia.

Anoectochilus roxburghii, known as a genus of the orchid family Orchidaceae, is usually found in moist areas with deep shade and grows in piles of dead leaves due to its undeveloped root system. The mountain where the plant was found this time boasts high humidity, little sunlight and excellent ecological environment, providing good conditions for the growth of Anoectochilus roxburghii.
