As a major participator in the China Pavilion during the Dubai World Expo, Hunan province will launch Hunan Week in the China Pavilion between March 16 and 18, 2022, with the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.
The World Expo, after 17 decades years of development, has become an important platform for countries around the world to showcase their achievements in society, economy, culture, science and technology, expand mutual exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and promote mutual learning between civilizations and common prosperity.
Postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Expo 2020 is slated to be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with the requirements of the China Pavilion Management Committee, the Hunan Week will be held both inside and outside the host country, in both online and offline forms.
There will be such activities as warm-up road show, opening ceremony, online pavilion tour, promotion of key industries, match-making meeting in key industrial sectors, theme day, online expo of Hunan products in the Middle East, and offline exhibitions.
The main venue of the opening ceremony will be held in Changsha, sub venues in Dubai, and foreign enterprises will be invited. Changsha, Yiyang and Chenzhou will organize theme day activities both online and offline.
Chenzhou City will promote nonferrous metals and other industries. At present, Chenzhou Stone Electronics Co., Ltd. has expanded its business to the Middle East and North Africa. Chenzhou and Dubai have the intention to carry out cooperation in rare and precious metals.
