Starting from April 1, Hunan province entered the flood season, which will end on September 30. The provincial, municipal and county-level flood control and drought relief headquarters offices all implement a 24-hour duty system in the flood season.
This year, the province will see more rainfall from mid-May to early July. There may be relatively serious floods in Xiangjiang River and Zishui River during this period. Sudden mountain torrents caused by rainstorms are warned in mountainous and hilly areas.
Since mid-March, a total of 1,173 batches of inspection teams at provincial, municipal and county levels were organized to inspect flood preparations in the whole province, and a total of 4,782 flood control hazards were found and rectified to ensure safe flood control.
