In recent days, farmers in Matian Town, Yongxing County have been busy with farming and planting as it is the time for spring ploughing and early season rice planting. 

 

 

According to statistics, the town has the planting area of 1656.7 mu (110 hectares) for early season rice, among which 1058.27 mu (70.5 hectares) are planted by large grain growers, with an increase of 116.98 mu (7.8 hectares) compared to the same period last year.

 

 

At present, 80% of early season rice planting in the town has been completed, and it is expected that it will be fully done by the end of April.
