Investment attraction in Hunan has been on a good run in the first quarter of this year. According to the data released by the provincial Department of Commerce, the actual use of foreign capital amounted to $1.798 billion, up 165.8% year on year, ranking the 10th in China and the first in central China, with the growth rate ranking the fifth nationwide and the first in central China.
As a provincial capital city, Changsha has played a leading role in utilizing foreign capital. The actual use of foreign capital in the city amounted to $1.666 billion, accounting for 92.6% of the province's total.
Hong Kong remains the main source of foreign investment in Hunan. The actual use of capital from Hong Kong in the first quarter has reached $1.7 billion, up 173.58% year on year, accounting for 94.8% of the total amount in the province.
