It is the first book about the deeds of Jiang Mengnan. The book vividly writes about how Jiang Mengnan made a surprise hit with extraordinary perseverance from the bottom of life to the top of the world. The book presents Jiang’s inspirational life with three chapters, 18 critical moments in her growth and 30 years of unremitting efforts.

At the book launch, Li Xue, head teacher of Jiang Mengnan in her junior high school, also shared how Jiang Mengnan studied hard and strove to be a warm person in her school days. The promotional video for the new book was played at the scene, introducing the struggles of Jiang Mengnan and the preparation for this book made by Hunan People’s Publishing House.

Jiang Mengnan was diagnosed with extremely severe neurological deafness when she was only a few months old. The sudden setback did not crush her and her family. With the careful introduction from her parents and her own unremitting efforts, Jiang Mengnan learned lip language and practiced speaking from an early age. Against all odds, she went to school with able-bodied students and was eventually accepted as a doctoral student by Tsinghua University. Now she is working hard to help more people like her through scientific research and public welfare. She is worthy of the title of China’s outstanding youth.
