This multi-form event covers a wide range of industries, including catering, home appliances, automobiles, e-commerce, retail, cultural and tourism industries, with emphasis on such bulk commodities as automobiles, home appliances and home furnishing.
In addition, the promotion activities of Hunan characteristic products will be held to present customers with more excellent characteristic products.
Moreover, the activity will make full use of the high-quality cultural and tourism resources in Hunan to launch personalized service products in culture, tourism and recreation, and enhance the brand of "taste of Hunan" through deeper exploration to local cuisine. Large e-commerce and live streaming platforms inside and outside the province will be applied to promote quality products in Hunan.
To stimulate night economy, a series of night consumption promotion activities will be held, including the 2022 China City Night Economic Development Summit, Summer Carnival night and The Night Life Festival.
Officially launched on April 26, the "Star City consumption coupons" activity will gather resources from all sectors of society to distribute more than 30 million consumer vouchers. More than 1,000 promotional activities of this kind will be held throughout the year to further promote brand consumption, night economy and landmark building consumption.
In recent years, the consumption promotion activities in Hunan have achieved fruitful results, with market recovering continuously and consumer demand released steadily. In 2021, the total retail sales of social consumer goods exceeded 1.8 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 14.4%.
Faced with challenges posed by the sporadic and scattered outbreak of the pandemic, the consumer market in Hunan remained stable as a whole in the first quarter of this year. The total retail sales of consumer goods reached 445.588 billion yuan, up 4.4% year-on-year, 1.1 percent higher than the national average.
