Computing power has become the core productivity of social and economic development.
According to the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on May 25, the accelerated advancement of information infrastructure construction has effectively promoted the development of new-generation information technologies such as "Great Wisdom Propelling Clouds", and facilitated the increase of the province's digital economy added value, which has exceeded 1.3 trillion yuan.
Steady progress has been made in communication network infrastructure construction, and the "information superhighway" has become smoother. A total of over 388,000 mobile communication base stations have been built in Hunan Province, ranking 8th in the country.
Of the total, there are 60,313 5G base stations. The number of narrowband Internet of Things (IoT) base stations reached 78,000, making the service accessible to townships and towns. All administrative villages are provided with optical fiber and 4G network services.
Intelligent scenarios such as unmanned factories, automatic distribution, and smart agriculture need the support of computing power.
At present, Hunan has a strong support from basic computing resources and an improving capacity in supercomputing and intelligent computing power. As of the end of March this year, 48 data centers above designated size have been built or under construction in the province, with a total of 159,000 racks.
The system of the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha has been upgraded, and the computing power level after the upgrade will be firmly in the forefront of the country.
Efforts should be made to seize the opportunity of industrial internet development, so as to advance the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing enterprises in the direction of digitization, networking, and smart development.
There are more than 130 various industrial internet platforms in the province.
By the end of March, the province's main industrial internet platforms have connected with more than 4 million pieces or sets of industrial equipment, an increase of 38% year on year.
A total of 426,500 enterprises have had their infrastructures digitalized and informatized, and 19,314 companies have joined the platforms online. This has injected new momentum into the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
Digital technology is deeply integrated with various economic and social fields. The Hunan (Changsha) National Internet of Vehicles Pilot Zone has completed the intelligent and connected transformation of 73 bus lines and 2,072 buses, and built a unified "vehicle-road-cloud" integrated intelligent connected cloud control management platform.
Digital and smart technologies are adopted in traditional infrastructures such as water supply, drainage, gas, and heat at a faster rate. The construction of new infrastructures such as telemedicine networks and education virtual exclusive networks has been accelerated.
Joint contributions have been made in building typical scenarios with shared benefits, including environmental monitoring, public security, and firefighting emergency rescue.
