Leigongjing Village was successfully approved as a Chinese traditional village in 2016. The village has maintained a concentrated and intact area of the ancient villages about 20,000 square meters, consisting of ancient dwellings of the Ming and Qing dynasties, flagstone roads, ancestral halls, ritual schools, ancient bridges, trees, wells, commercial roads, and pavilions, etc. The ancient buildings are rich in wood, stone, and brick carvings, with vivid and beautiful patterns like landscapes, figures, flowers and birds.

 

In recent years, to support the construction of a national forest park, Jinping Town has established a pilot base demonstrating the ancient village, traditional wedding songs and ecological agriculture. The base has successfully held two cultural tourism festivals, attracting the residents from Guangdong, Changsha, Chenzhou and neighboring counties and cities. In particular, the six cultural inheritance platforms – "Wedding Hall, Farming Teaching Hall, Red Army Hall, Changxin Hall, Shangwu Hall, and Yinggong Hall" have been well received by visitors.

 

 

“The song you are hearing now is one of the traditional wedding songs in Jiahe County." the anchors also sang in the live broadcast, attracting a large number of fans. In Leigongjing Village, the wedding songs have been passed down through the ancestors by word of mouth, and the local women can sing hundreds of songs. In 2015, Leigongjing Village was listed as the Jiahe wedding songs inheritance base at the municipal level.

 

"It is great to introduce the ancient village through livestreaming," said Li Qifeng, Party secretary of Leigongjing Village, hoping that the live broadcasts on e-commerce platforms could help promote the featured tourism and agricultural products in Jinping County, and build a brand to consolidate the achievement of poverty alleviation and boost the rural revitalization.
