Jiahe team wins at Go final

Recently, the final of the National Go team tournament in Chinese cities (counties) came to an end, with the team from Jiahe County the winner. The tournament was held under the guidance of General Administration of Sport of China and sponsored by the China Weiqi Association.
130 players from 26 teams from all over the country participated in the Swiss-System tournament, in which the team who earns the most points will win. After 8-day fierce competition, the Jiahe team won the competition by 7 to 1.
In 2013, the Jiahe County CPC Committee and the County government took the opportunity of creating a "National Sports City" to put forward a goal: to create itself into "National Weiqi Town" in five years. Jiahe County has set up a leading group, a work team, and established Jiahe Weiqi Academy, striving to cultivate weiqi talents among teenagers. In 2013, more than 4,000 teenagers in Jiahe County began to learn how to play Weiqi.
In addition, Jiahe County has held many weiqi games in these years.
In April 2016, Jiahe County was awarded the title of "National Weiqi Town" by Chinese Weiqi Association.
