The villagers were transplanting rice seedlings for seed production in Taoyuan Village, Huilongshan Yao Township, Zixing City on July 2. Zixing has a seed production area of 20,400 mu (1,360 hectares) by 2022.

In recent years, it has developed the hybrid rice seed production industry and introduced 14 enterprises, including Hunan Longping Seed Industry and Fujian Shennongdafeng Seed Industry.

Such towns and villages as Huilongshan, Liaojiang, and Zhoumensi have adopted the mode of “party branch, base, enterprise, and poverty-relief household” to build a “branch farm” and establish a benefit coupling mechanism with poverty-relief households under the guidance of the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, allowing farmers to earn wages, rents and dividends, so as to increase industrial efficiency and farmers’ income.
