Over the past few years, a number of professional rice cooperatives and other agricultural social service organizations have been cultivated in Guiyang County to introduce advanced technologies and modern concepts into grain production.

 

Fengyi Rice Cooperative in the county has rolled out 10 mechanized services from rice planting and harvest to rice processing and sales. Farmers can choose both customized services and the whole-process services. 

 

At present, there are 3,260 social service organizations, 25 agrotechnology popularization organizations, 386 demonstration sites for agricultural science and technology, 36 leading agricultural enterprises above the municipal level, 1,320 family farms, and 1,126 professional cooperatives in the county.

 

Nearly 116,800 farmers have engaged in those organizations, and e-commerce service stations have covered most administrative villages and more than 80% of new agricultural business entities.

 

Over 2,186 square kilometers of farmland in Guiyang are managed by social services, of which 23.7 square kilometers are under whole-process management, with the rate increasing by more than 98% compared with the previous year.
