In Dahan Village, Wanshui Town, Linwu County, thousands of acres of honeysuckle have entered the harvesting period. The honeysuckle blossoms not only dress up the countryside but also enrich the local people day by day.
In the honeysuckle base, the villagers flitted in the sea of flowers and picked the first crop of honeysuckle this year skillfully.
Deng Guilan, a villager, said that she could pick about 100 kilograms of honeysuckle every day, and her income was 100 yuan. She felt very happy and satisfied.
Due to the short bud period of honeysuckle, a lot of labor is required for picking. Therefore, more than 100 villagers come to the base to pick honeysuckle every day. The picked honeysuckle is put into the drying plant for drying. After drying, it will be screened and packaged according to the grade, and sent to Anhui, Guizhou and other places.
Honeysuckle is widely known for its medicinal value. As a drought-resistant, cold-tolerant and saline-resistant herbal medicine, honeysuckle is distributed in both North and South China.
In recent years, the village Party branch and villagers' committee of Dahan and cooperative members have actively explored the "Party branch + company + cooperative + base + farmers" model. Through policy guidance, financial support, technical guidance and other means, villagers are encouraged to participate in the establishment of cooperatives, bringing the once scattered land together and driving villagers to join cooperatives in the form of land circulation, labor force and so on, so as to help people increase their income.
By continuously expanding the scale of farmland, increasing the planting area, now the honeysuckle base has reached 1,000 mu (about 66.67 hectares). After three years of operation, it has entered into a high productive period, with the output increasing year by year. At present, the base can harvest up to 40 tons of honeysuckle, with an annual output value of 4 million yuan, and the market is still in short supply.
