According to the introduction, the work is called “Hero’s Background”, which is inspired by a train accident. On March 30, 2020, when a train overturned in Yongxing County. He Juan came up with the idea to depict the real scene of firefighting and rescue in the form of patchwork embroidery after seeing the brave firefighters.

 

“Patchwork embroidery focuses on artistic conception, but the smoke and fire cannot be well presented.” He Juan watched a lot of videos for her creation of the work. It took her and her team one year and a half from the early preparation to the completion of the work.

 

 

He Juan is always committed to popularizing fire safety knowledge with her influence. Born in a small mountain village, she often saw villagers who were punished by law because of their poor awareness of fire prevention. Therefore, she began to act as a volunteer of fire protection in 2017.

 

Over the past five years, she has brought patchwork embroidery and firefighting knowledge to villagers, vocational training classes, primary and middle school classes and to the live streaming rooms. She continues to expand the coverage of publicity with her own practical actions to influence people around her for fire prevention .
