Since this June, key cities in old revolutionary base areas of Hunan Province have actively promoted paired cooperation with Guangdong Province and Jiangsu Province.
Hunan’s Zhangjiajie City and Jiangsu’s Nanjing City, and Hunan’s Chenzhou City and Guangdong’s Foshan City have been paired up, and the cooperation has been steadily advancing.
Zhangjiajie and Nanjing had in-depth exchanges on building Zhangjiajie-Nanjing Industrial Park and Zhangjiajie Rural Revitalization Hall in Nanjing, reaching phased results. The industrial cooperation between the two cities has achieved remarkable results.
Since the resumption of direct flights from Nanjing to Zhangjiajie this June, there were 357 flights on the route, with a total passenger throughput of 38,126. Nanjing plans to send 100,000 Nanjing residents to visit Zhangjiajie, and will organize a group to attend the first Hunan Tourism Development Conference.
Chenzhou and Foshan carried out a series of exchanges and visits. Foshan led a delegation to attend the 2022 Chenzhou Entrepreneurs Conference and the 10th China (Hunan) International Mineral and Gem Expo.
The two cities jointly drew up such documents as a framework agreement and a work plan on paired cooperation, and reached an in-depth consensus on promoting the high-quality economic and social development of the two sides.
This May, the National Development and Reform Commission issued a guideline for paired cooperation between key cities in old revolutionary base areas. It aims to promote the establishment of paired cooperative relations between 20 key cities in the old revolutionary base areas and those in the developed regions.
Among them, Chenzhou City (the old revolutionary base of Hunan and Jiangxi border areas) has paired up with Foshan City, while Zhangjiajie City (the old revolutionary base of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, and Guizhou border areas) with Nanjing City. The paired cooperation period is from 2022 to 2030.
