Project construction boosts economy in Beihu District

Since the 2022 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference was held, Beihu District of Chenzhou City has seized the opportunities to vigorously promote its tourism. The various scenic areas such as Heping Night Market, Chenzhou Changjuan and Yangtian Lake Grassland have been very popular with tourists.
During the National Day holiday, the total tourism income of Beihu District reached 306 million yuan, among which the ticket income of Yangtian Lake Grassland Scenic Area ranked eighth in Hunan Province.
As a central urban area, Beihu District has continuously contributed to the development of Chenzhou into a new modern city with fixed asset investment and project construction ranking first in Chenzhou. It has completed the construction of such projects as the international land port, Chengzhou-Yangtian Lake Highway, Heping Night Market and Beihu Park in a short time.
Beihu District has taken advantage of the tourism development conference to improve the infrastructure of the city. It has fully promoted the development of cultural tourism industry, reported 244 projects concerning the provincial and municipal tourism development conferences and planned to invest 17.69 billion yuan to support the stable development of the economy through project construction.
Heping Night Market, located in Heping Road and Yingbin Lane of Chenzhou, is a typical back street lane. The dirty and messy environment has afflicted nearby residents for many years.
In accordance with the government and market-oriented operation mode, Chenzhou Shuanglong Business Management Co., Ltd. and Baifu Group of Beihu District jointly built a night snack street and solved the problem of potential safety hazards. The 625-meter long street has taken on a new look as the Heping Night Market was completed in only 45 days.
On August 1, the extended section of West Xiangxue Road was open to traffic, with six two-way lanes. This “dead end road” that has bothered citizens for years has been connected with Hanxi Road. The east-west traffic function of the urban area has been further improved.
As the road was opened, the night of the city has also been lit up. On the evening of September 15, the Beihu water curtain light show was staged and enjoyed great popularity.
During the National Day holiday, there were three more light shows. The dancing water column and changing lights with music became the most popular images on Moments of tourists.
Data shows that during the National Day holiday, the sales of supermarkets in Beihu District increased by 4.3% year on year, and the retail sales of consumer goods increased by 4.6% year on year.
