Monk fruit boosts village economy

The photos taken on November 2 show villagers sorting the monk fruit at Shimen Village, Jiahe County, Chenzhou City. At present, the monk fruit of the village is reaping a bumper harvest. Villagers are busy picking, sorting and packaging the fruit to supply the market.
In recent years, Shimen Village has developed special industries according to local conditions and planted more than 300 mu (20 hectares) of monk fruit, effectively boosting the collective economy and increasing villagers’ income.
