The ceremony kicked off by the Bianjiang River. 385 years ago, Xu Xiake, a geographer and traveler of the Ming Dynasty, went by this place on a boat.

 

 

At the opening ceremony, the cultural and tourism promotional video of Yongxing was released, integrating Xu Xiake culture with Yongxing’s rich tourism resources, creating Yongxing’s cultural and tourism brands, and promoting the spiritual inheritance and cultural communication of Xu Xiake.

 

 

The Milestone of Xu Xiake’s Travel is 15 meters long and 3.5 meters high. It is of the architectural style of the Suzhou gardens of Jiangyin City of Jiangsu Province, Xu Xiake’s hometown. Tourists can soak up the feast of “Xu Xiake Culture”, discuss the inheritance and development of the “Xu Xiake Spirit” and enjoy the charm of Yongxing here.

 

 

A series of planning measures have been introduced to support the development of cultural tourism at the ceremony. In the first half of this year, 23 cultural tourism projects were started, with a total investment of 4.738 billion yuan. A total of 2.258,745 million tourists were received. The total tourism revenue reached 2.22,104 billion yuan. 104 projects concerning the Second Hunan Tourism Development Conference were applied with a total investment of 10.7 billion yuan.
